Placing Talent’s client, a leading provider of clinical coding services are looking to recruit a Clinical Coding Auditor to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a hybrid role consisting of working from home and working on site with clients, being flexible on travel and potential overnight stays will be required. Travel will be no more than an hour and a half from where your home address is. Suitable candidates will hold the Approved Clinical Coding Auditor Qualification. You will have a hardworking and flexible attitude towards professional tasks at hand.

The successful applicant will undertake audits in line with the NHS Digital’s audit methodology and code of conduct; and maintain coding audit programmes, ensuring ongoing improvements in quality assurance. This will involve working with the Head of Coding, Operational Managers within the business and clients who work in tandem with our client.
Your role will also require you to lead on external audit requests, managing the complete process from start to finish and produce high quality and precise reports following all audits in a timely manner. In addition, as an auditor you will support the team with client coding requirements, which will involve clinical coding at various hospitals along with remote coding at home.
Essential criteria
- NHS Digital Approved Clinical Coding Auditor.
- Experience of delivering clinical coding audits to a high quality and tight deadlines.
- Expert knowledge of ICD10 and OPCS4 coding classifications and National Standards.
- Knowledge of HRGs and the impact of clinical coding on these.
- Good presentational and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of Data Security and Protection Toolkit and Patient Confidentiality requirements.
- Strong Communication and motivational skills, including the ability to work with groups of staff at all levels within an organisation, both remotely and on site.
- Willing to travel.
