Non-Accredited Clinical Coders – Exciting opportunity awaits!
Are you currently working in the NHS as a clinical coder and looking to fast track your career? Do you want to take the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ)? If so, this role may be the one for you! We are looking for a trainee clinical coder with at least 6 months experience working as a trainee / Non-ACC clinical coder in the NHS to join our clients expanding team. Their qualified trainer and experienced team will offer both formal training and mentoring, as well as on the job training to support you in achieving ACC status.
Contract: Permanent role.
Salary: Band 3/4 equivalent.
Working pattern: Full-time, hybrid. 2 days per week onsite at your local private hospital (travel expenses covered), 3 days per week coding remotely from home.

We are working with the UK’s largest provider of Clinical Coding services who are on the lookout for Clinical Coders who haven’t yet completed the National Clinical Coding Qualification but are thinking of this as the next step in their career.
As a busy and thriving private company which is growing 15 – 20% year on year, they are able to offer 1-1 training support to help you achieve the goal of becoming an Accredited Clinical Coder (NCCQ UK edition), whilst also giving you the opportunity to work on various clinical coding projects supporting their large selection of clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Competent coder who is able to accurately analyse and code patient case notes for NHS and private healthcare providers.
- Feedback any coding queries or issues with the clinical coding leads in order to feedback to the nominated person within the NHS or at the private provider.
- Work on clinical coding from home as well as on-site. On-site work is a range of 1-2 days per week depending on requirements and you are able to claim back on fuel expenses. Where necessary, travel and hotels are covered with a food allowance provided.
- Attend bimonthly clinical coding training workshops (remote).
Essential Criteria
- Completed a National Clinical Coding Standards Course.
- Minimum 6 months NHS clinical coding experience.
- Currently working within an acute NHS or private hospital setting.
- Strong communication and motivational skills, including the ability to work with groups of staff at all levels within the organisation.
