Placing Talent's client is seeking a qualified and experienced Contract Clinical Coding Trainer for an exciting 1 to 2-year project based in South Wales, with the possibility of extension. This role is critical as the Clinical Coding department is implementing a new training programme aimed at advancing Band-3 clinical coders to Band-4 clinical coders. Key Responsibilities: -
- Develop and deliver training programmes specific to clinical coding practices.
- Assess the skills of Band-3 clinical coders and identify areas for growth.
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages professional development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to refine training materials and methods.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentoring to trainees throughout the program.
Skills & Experience Required: -
- TAP certified clinical coding trainer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials.
- Proficient in assessing performance and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
