Outsourcing Coordinator (administrative and telephone skills essential)

Location: St Martins Square, Basildon Town Centre
Hours: Monday - Friday. 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm
Job Type: Full-time contract (office based) – 37.5 hours per week
Contract length: Three months with strong possibility of extension
Pay: £12.21 per hour + WTR £1.47 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who possesses strong administrative and telephone skills to join our client’s team to help support them in reducing the hospital’s treatment backlog. The successful candidate will contact patients by telephone to gain their consent for outsourcing to multiple private providers, ensuring seamless coordination within the trust.
This role requires the postholder to call multiple patients on a daily basis so must have an excellent telephone manner. There will also be additional administrative duties, therefore being able to input data entry into the hospitals clinical systems and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for patient and staff inquiries, offering excellent customer service at all levels.
- Contact patients daily by phone to gain consent for outsourcing treatments, maintaining a professional and clear telephone manner.
- Record patient responses accurately in Excel spreadsheets and maintain detailed records in EPR systems.
- Review and collate medical notes from the ACP and send them to private providers.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, ensuring all data is handled securely in line with trust policies.
- Prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and support the RTT Validation Teams and Service Delivery Manager as required.
Requirements:
- Strong telephone communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
- Experience with EPR & ER systems is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to assist with various administrative duties.
- This role does not accommodate working from home, and candidates must be able to work full-time from the office.
