Placing Talent's client, a leading provider of Clinical Coding services in the U.K, seek an accredited clinical coder to join their team in the capacity of Contract Clinical Coder to work remotely on a full-time basis.
The contract is a 6-month assignment with strong possibility of extension.
The work you will be undertaking requires a clinical coder who can think laterally, at different situations. This contract requires a clinical coding professional that is able to manage their time to meet targets when working independently from home.
There are many different projects that you may be asked to work on during your assignment and with this giving you the option of piece rate work, it allows you to be paid outside-IR35 if you prefer.
Summary
Contract: Full-time, flexible hours.
Remote Coding: Fully remote role.
Start Date: Late October / early November 2024.
IR35 status: Option to be paid via your own Ltd Company if signed up as piece rate contractor.
Interview Process
- Initial telephone consultation with QCI.
- Clinical Coding Assessment to demonstrate suitability.
Duties
- Deliver remote clinical coding from home for Placing Talent's client, a leading private healthcare provider.
- Maintain timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of clinical coding.
- Code across a range of clinical and medical specialties adhering to the clinical coding conventions and procedures as defined by the Coding Classifications Service.
- Meet the agreed daily clinical coding deadlines as set by the client, ensuring the number of episodes are completed as outlined within the contract.
- Feedback any coding queries or issues with source documentation to client contact.
Criteria
- National Clinical Coding Qualification.
- At least three years of UK clinical coding experience.
- Up to date Clinical Coding Refresher Course attendance.
- Experience of coding complex coding episodes.
- Ability to work independently to meet coding deadlines and meet daily productivity targets.
- Good work ethic paired with strong communication skills.
