Placing Talent seek an accredited clinical coder who has vast experience in Oncology to join our client's clinical coding team on a contract basis in the capacity of Remote Contract Clinical Coder.
This is a full-time contract working 37.5 hours Monday - Friday. The contract will be for an initial 3-6 months with a very strong possibility of extension.
The role will entail hybrid remote working to begin with, with the successful coder required to work on-site 3 – 5 days in the first week for training and support. This will then be followed by 4 weeks where the coder will be expected to be on-site one day per week. After this period, the successful coder will be able to work from home full-time but may be required to work on-site on team days once or twice a month at the client's hospital as the client is big on ensuring the successful candidate feels part of the team and wider goals.
Start Date: Ideally 1st December 2023 or first full week in December

Essential Criteria
- National Clinical Coding Qualification.
- All applicants must complete a coding assessment to demonstrate suitability for the role.
- Three years + UK clinical coding experience within an acute NHS setting.
- Up-to-date Clinical Coding Standards Refresher Course.
- Experience coding a range of surgical and medical specialties.
- Available to work 37.5 hours per week across Monday - Friday.
Desirable Criteria
- EPIC experience and/or experience working at a specialist cancer hospital (EPIC is the EPR used at our client’s hospital).
